We LOVE working with Alissa + Nienke ! We worked together on a research project focussing on 3D woven wallpaper, Fringese&Floats. Which was presented during Dutch Design Week 2019. At the moment we are further developing this research into a commercial collection which will soon be available through the WEEEF shop. We fell in love with their work and became friends. Since then we have continued working with them, of course they had to be part of the WEEEF family. In the WEEEF collection we have 5 small sized artworks and 4 medium sized artworks. We hope you like their work too ! |
A+N is a material research and design studio with a unique interpretation of surface design, founded by Alissa van Asseldonk and Nienke Bongers (Eindhoven, NL). A+N creates materials that build intriguing and enriched spaces for those who live or work in them. With a human-centered approach, and in close collaboration with both craftsmen and high-tech industry, they design innovative materials, objects and installations for (future) interior architecture, that trigger curiosity and interaction. This means researching human perception, creating new materials to improve daily life and exploring what our future environments will look like. Influenced by their concept-led education at Design Academy Eindhoven and their practical experience of working with both craftsmen and new technologies, their work is characterized by tactility, simplicity and the use of natural forces like wind or light. Alissa and Nienke founded their design studio in 2013, and are working on commissioned and self-initiated projects in the field of interior design and architecture. |
